Are you ready for the new Companies Act?

The new Companies Act (Number 71 of 2008) was signed by the President on 8 April 2009 and is expected to take effect later this year. The new Act fundamentally changes the manner in which companies are to be operated and managed.

Employees who undertake to grant paid leave on public holidays will accordingly be obliged to pay their employees for both the Sunday and the Monday if both days are ordinary working days.

The Offer values each Afplats Share at 55 pence and the entire issued and to be issued share capital of Afplats at approximately R4 billion.
