Corporate and Commercial

The corporate and commercial group has experience in the structuring and implementation of mergers and acquisitions, as well as joint ventures. They advise corporate clients on their ongoing contractual and business relationships with local and foreign customers, suppliers and distributors.

The group's involvement in mergers and acquisitions include: merger between Placer Dome & Barrick; Mafube Joint Venture between Anglo & Eyesizwe; Bafokeng Rasimone Platinum Mine Joint Venture between Amplats & Bafokeng and Igoda Joint Venture between Sasol & Eyesizwe. Most recently it also includes the acquisition by Mvela Resources of Anglo Platinum's entire interest in Northam and Anglo Platinum's 50% effective interest in the Booysendal Platinum Project as well as Etruscan Diamond's acquisition of 50% interest in the Tiisano diamond mine.
